The day in the Church’s life dedicated to celebrating the sacredness of life. The theme this year is ‘The Wonder of the Child in the Womb’. The second collection this Sunday will support the Day for Life Fund, which assists organisations dedicated to protecting life from conception until natural death in a variety of ways.

In a Pastoral Message to the clergy, consecrated men and women and lay faithful of the Archdiocese of Southwark, Archbishop John Wilson reaffirmed the conviction that “as followers of the Lord Jesus, there is no place for racism”.

If enough people stand up for the pro-life cause, politicians will have to take heed of concern. We urgently need all of you to join in the work to bring about real and lasting protection for unborn children. As a first step, please fill out one of the postcards that you will find on the newsletter table, and you will be sent an action pack detailing all the different ways that you can become involved. Reading at weekday Masses is currently done on an ad hoc basis but we are looking to make a rota so that this ministry does not fall on the shoulders of just a few parishioners. If you would like to offer to read at any of the weekday Masses, please give your name to Fr. Jose. Training will be given.
