Harvest Thanksgiving 2026 – Sunday 27th September

We have just entered the Season of Creation and traditionally in England at this time Churches up and down the land give thanks to God for the success of the harvest as the farmers bring in the crops. We are going to celebrate Harvest Thanksgiving at all Masses on 27th September.

We take this opportunity to invite parishioners to make offerings and donations of dry goods – packaged and canned – and to bring them to church on that day where a table in the foyer will set up to receive them and after Mass they will be blessed. They will then we distributed to those in our community who are less fortunate than ourselves. We would kindly ask you not to donate fresh food, for obvious reasons.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR THE PARISH

We are looking for more people to help with the various tasks that take make the parish run smoothly in particular catechists for the sacramental programmes (a DBS check will be required), collectors, counters, and those who are able to help with parish events. If you have some time to spare to volunteer for these roles, or any of the other behind the scenes roles that help the parish run well, please speak to Fr. Jose.
