Today Is Good Shepherd Sunday – Support Our Future Priests

This Good Shepherd Sunday, we pray for vocations and support the Priest Training Fund, which forms men for service across our parishes, schools, hospitals, and communities. We currently have 9 seminarians, each costing around £30,000 per year over six years of formation. Your generosity helps make their calling possible. Rosary For Life

Parish Office Archbishop John Wilson is calling on all of us to join him in praying the Rosary for Life this May (Month of Mary). Together, we will pray through the Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious and Luminous Mysteries, each one offered for the most vulnerable facing growing threats to life: unborn children at risk of abortion, victims of war and persecution, people with disabilities, and the elderly and vulnerable. For video, audio and written versions of the Rosary for Life, visit rcaos.org.uk/rosaryforlife. Pray the Rosary. Encounter Christ. Defend life.

Becoming a Catholic?

Are you an adult who is not a Catholic but who would like to know more, a Catholic who has not be confirmed or who would like to review your knowledge of your Catholic Faith? If you would like to know more, please contact Fr. Hans for a chat.

Receiving Holy Communion

We welcome all visitors and those who do not regularly worship with us at St. Simon Stock.

If you are not a Catholic, or are a Catholic who does not regularly attend Sunday Mass at a Catholic Church, you are welcome to come forward for a blessing. If you would like to receive a blessing, please fold your arms across your chest in the form of a cross and the Parish Priest will give you a blessing.

Those receiving communion are reminded that the host must be consumed before returning to your seat.

Mass Intentions

Each time he offers Mass the priest can offer the Mass for a specified intention, such as for someone who has died, for good health for a sick person, or in thanksgiving for graces received. To book a Mass Intention please use one of the envelopes available by the newsletters; write the Intention on it, and details of the date and time of Mass, and your name and contact details if you want the details to be confirmed. If you indicate a preferred date, the Mass will be offered on or about that preferred date. If you would like to be sure of a specific date, please speak to Fr Jose or Thereza. Put your donation inside (£10 is a typical amount) and either put it in any of the collection baskets or hand it to Fr. Jose.
