Next Sunday is the day for life. It is the day in the Church’s life dedicated to celebrating the sacredness of life. The theme this year is ‘The Wonder of the Child in the Womb’. The proceeds from today’s Day for Life collection provide core funding to assist other life-related activities supported by the Church.
Next weekend the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children (SPUC) will be holding their Join the Fightback Day. Show your support by joining SPUC’s campaign to defend unborn babies and their mothers. If enough people stand up for the pro-life cause, politicians will have to take heed of concern

Dear family members and friends, One of the great qualities of Jesus is compassion. He healed many people, blessed many and comforted many. All these were because of His compassion to people.
In the first reading the Lord reminds the people of Israel about how He rescued them from Egypt and lead them. It actually shows the compassion of the Lord towards them. In the second reading we are reminded of the love shown to us though we are sinners. It is also because of the compassion of the Lord. Now in the Gospel we see Jesus choosing twelve disciples and sending them to proclaim the kingdom of God ie. the love of God and His compassion. Amen
Self-induced abortion up to birth is now permitted in England and Wales. Please show your support by joining SPUC’s campaign to defend unborn babies and their mothers.
If enough people stand up for the pro-life cause, politicians will have to take heed of concern. We urgently need all of you to join in the work to bring about real and lasting protection for unborn children. As a first step, please fill out one of the postcards that you will find on the newsletter table, and you will be sent an action pack detailing all the different ways that you can become involved. Today is the Feast of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, the Feast of Corpus Christi. Coming up on Friday is the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus with solemn Mass at 7pm.
