Next Sunday is Archdiocesan Diaconate Day where we pray for vocations to the Permanent Diaconate. From the earliest days of the Church, men have been called to serve as ministers of the Word, of the Altar and of Charity. The Church in the Archdiocese of Southwark wants to promote, nurture and support those Permanent Deacons who wish to give themselves to the service of the Church in their parish, deanery and diocese, without neglecting their own family and professional work. To be a Deacon is to serve your community; could this be you? Talk first to your family and to Fr. Jose. If you feel that God may be calling you, even with the faintest whisper, and want to find out more please take one of the leaflets on the newsletter table, scan the QR code on the poster in the church entrance or go to http://www.rcaos.org.uk/TheDiaconate. There are a few cards with a prayer for Permanent Diaconate Vocations on the newsletter table.

Would You Like To Join Our Team Of Readers?
We are looking to recruit new readers, including young people who are in school year 7 and above, to join the team who read regularly at Sunday Mass and at other Masses throughout the year. If you feel that this ministry might be for you, please talk to Fr. Jose.
