A Message From Fr. Jose – 8th March

Dear family members and friends: Today’s Gospel narrates a beautiful instance of an encounter with Jesus. The Lord was wearied and thirsty and He asked the Samaritan woman to give him water to drink. Here actually He identifies with all who are thirsty. In the first reading we see the people of Israel grumbling against Moses because they were thirsty and had nothing to drink. It was an occasion for them to experience the salvific intervention of God among them. As we see in the Gospel, it was an occasion to find the Saviour not only for the Samaritan woman, but also for the people of her village. Let this season of Lent be an occasion for us to find the Saviour in our life. Let us thirst for the Lord to get the living water. Amen
