Dear family members and friends, Today we celebrate the Feast of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, the Feast of Corpus Christi. In today’s Gospel Jesus said,” For my flesh is true food and my blood is true drink. Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him.” Jesus further said, “Whoever feeds on this bread will live forever.”
St. Paul says as we read in the second reading, “Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one bread. “All these tell us the importance of receiving the body and blood of Jesus in the sacramental form, i.e. we live because of Him. In the first reading we are reminded about manna. God fed the Israelites with manna in order to make them know that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. Amen

Reading at weekday Masses is currently done on an ad hoc basis but we are looking to make a rota so that this ministry does not fall on the shoulders of just a few parishioners. If you would like to offer to read at any of the weekday Masses, please give your name to Fr. Jose. Training will be given.

The greeting is: The Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Again the blessing is: May Almighty God, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit bless you. Besides Sacraments like Baptism are administered in the name of the Trinity.
All these remind us about the Holy Trinity, the Triune God. Doctrine of the Holy Trinity is the foundational Christian doctrine. Today’s Gospel reminds us about the love of God to send His only Son so that all those who believe in Him shall have eternal life. Let the unity of the Triune God be an inspiration for us to closely stick to our faith in the Triune God. Amen
