Dear family members and friends: Today we observe as Remembrance Sunday. It is an occasion to gratefully remember and pray for all those who have sacrificed their life for the country.

Today’s Gospel speaks about what Jesus says about the need for being prepared always to receive the Lord. The parable of the ten virgins remind us that we have to be wise enough to be filled spiritually. We may think that we have the lamp with us ie. the external things including our physical, mental and intellectual abilities. Are we wise enough to have the spiritual strength to face our life. Gospel of Mathew chapter 7 verse 24 says a wise man is one who listens the word of God and practise it. Let us try to be wise and be ready to receive the Lord always. Amen
