These two young men, one from the early 20th century and the other the first twenty-first century saint, will be canonised next Sunday by Pope Leo XIV. The canonisations highlight the universal call to holiness, the importance of faith in the digital age (for Carlo Acutis), and the call to serve others (for Pier Giorgio Frassati). May the canonisation of these two young men encourage the young people in our church today to have the courage to bear witness to their faith in this increasingly secular world.

The Southwark Agency for Evangelisation and Catechesis continues to look for ways to extend and enhance the provision for training and formation for catechists specifically and lay people in general.
