We extend our heartfelt felicitations and congratulations to Fr. Jose on the occasion of his 70th birthday. We thank God for his ministry and extend our prayers and many blessings to him for a long and healthy life.

Following today’s morning Mass There will be the cutting and distribution of birthday cake in the church foyer, and the planting of an olive tree in the church garden to mark this happy occasion. Please do stay and join in the celebrations.
Dear family members and friends, Jesus uses a very familiar parable to explain the Kingdom of God: parable of the sower. Jesus presents four situations where the seed was sown. He Himself gives the explanation of the parable. It represents four types of people who respond to the Word of the Kingdom. All the people except the last group hear the Word of the Kingdom but do not receive it into their hearts.
Only those who are prepared well and are open to the Word and receive it into their heart so as to produce fruits and yields pleasing to God and people. As we listen the word of God various distractions may come into our hearts. Let us be prepared through prayer and repentance to receive the Word of God fruitfully. Amen

We commend this excellent residential trip for altar servers and those who regularly attend mass on the weekend. It is a few days for deepening one’s catholic faith, in a great social atmosphere, including football, sports and visit to Thorpe Park. For more details of see poster on noticeboard.
We are looking to make a reader’s rota for weekday Masses so that this ministry does not fall on the shoulders of just a few parishioners. Give your name to Fr. Jose if you would like to offer to read during the week.

Coming up this Tuesday 7th July there will be a 7.30pm Mass in Canterbury Cathedral celebrating the Translation of the Body of St Thomas of Canterbury.
In August there is our Baptism Preparation Session on Saturday 8th August. Also, the Summer Stillness Retreat at The Friars, Aylesford takes place between 10th–14th August. The Southwark Diocesan Pilgrimage To Lourdes takes places between 21st to 28th August.
