It will begin with Mass, followed by Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament. The day will include meditations, talks, times of quiet, The Way of the Cross in the afternoon, and opportunities for individual confessions. All are warmly invited for all or part of the day. Please bring a packed lunch, drinks provided.

“We Dare To Ask” Booklet and Lenten Course

This year’s Lenten resource from the Catholic Bishop’s of England and Wales is inviting parishioners to prepare their hearts and minds to renew their Baptismal promises during the Easter celebrations. Through Baptism, we are united with Christ and given our mission to image him in our homes and communities. While the world tempts us in all manner of ways yet by God’s grace, we can turn back to him with contrite hearts to ask his mercy and forgiveness. We stand to renew our Baptismal promises:  to ask for his life, his grace and to seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit to renew and restore our covenant relationship with Jesus, that we may live in an ever-deepening union with him as his baptised son or daughter.

We have some copies of the booklet available priced £3 each. Please ask Thereza if you would like a copy. The ‘We dare to Ask’ online course – each week has been split out each of the sessions into its own page – can be found here: https://www.cbcew.org.uk/we-dare-to-ask/

A Message From Fr. Jose – 15th February

Fr. Jose - Parish Priest

Fr. Jose – Parish Priest

Dear family members and friends: Jesus declares that he has come not to abolish the Law or the Prophets. Instead, he has come to fulfil them. There are many laws and prophesies in the Old Testament. Jesus has come to fulfil these by summing up all those in the law of love. Out of love Jesus gave his life for the salvation of the mankind. Showing that example Jesus says the righteousness of all who listen to and follow him has to exceed that of those who pretend to observe the law but do not put it into practice. In the succeeding portion of the Gospel Jesus gives the new law regarding love towards others including the life partner. The underlying factor under every law should be the law of love. Let us renew our concept about law and try to practice it for our good and the good of others. Amen
