Dear family members and friends: In today’s Gospel Acclamation we recite “From a bright cloud, the father’s voice was heard: “This is my beloved Son, listen to him.” This verse is taken from today’s Gospel passage where we read and reflect on the transfiguration of Jesus. There we see the glorified Jesus who appeared with Moses and Elijah as fulfilment of the Law and Prophets. What God the Father wants is to listen to Jesus. This season of Lent is an occasion to listen to Jesus and follow Him. In today’s first reading we read about God asking Abram to leave his country and go to where God shows him. Abram went as the Lord said to him. When we prayerfully listen to God, we will definitely receive God’s message for our life and we follow that it will be for our blessing as was promised to Abram. Amen
