On Tuesday the Catholic Church celebrates the birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary on its traditional fixed date of September 8th. Let us celebrate with joy the birth of the Virgin Mary, of whom was born our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Her birth constitutes the hope and the light of salvation for the whole world and her image is a light for the whole Christian people.
