Thank you and Goodbye

The documentation from the diocesan authority says that I will cease to be parish priest here from the 21st of August 2018, which is about 7 years and 11 months of service to the people of St Simon Stock. I am grateful to all at St Simon’s for welcoming me and making me a part of your life. I also take the opportunity to apologize if I did cause offense to anyone, I am only human after all and I have always put your spiritual well being and the interest of the church before everything else. I also thank God for the many people who have from the beginning have been faithful to St Simon’s. We are now very much an international parish. And as we grow and change, let us do all that we can liturgically to reflect the rich cultures of the parish. And do all that we can to involve the young and those who have arrived recently, into parish life. So that together growing in fellowship and using our skills, we give sincere thanks and glory to God and truly reflect the body of Christ to those around us. God bless and farewell, please keep me in your prayers. Love and prayers, Fr Neil.

Ps: Thanks to all the people for your well wishes, gifts and cards and those who took the trouble to organise small parties for me. Thank you so much, I will miss you all very much. I will keep all of you in my prayers. I think ,after my operation there is a plan to give me an official send off, probably in September, I hope to see you all again then.

Father Neil
